Picasso, Mondrian artworks go on show in London

LONDON, April 22 (Reuters) – Paintings by Pablo Picasso, Piet Mondrian and Vincent Van Gogh went on display at Christie’s in London on Thursday ahead of a May sale, with the auction house encouraging art fans to book viewings while museums remain closed in Britain.

April 21 (Reuters) – Draped in shades of purple, fans of the late artist Prince huddled in a line outside his Paisley Park estate in Minnesota, waiting to enter the museum to remember the musician’s life on the fifth anniversary of his death.

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) – The Maine Attorney General´s Office says the estate of Robert Indiana has paid seven law firms excessive legal fees and wants the estate to recoup $3.7 million of them, according to a court filing on Monday.

The museum is around 20 minute walk away from the Central Station. Even if you want to go by bus or tram, then, buses of no. 170, 172 , 174 and Trams of no. 13, 14 and 17 stops at the ‘Westermarkt’ stop.

“Mondrians of this quality, of this iconic sort of modernist image, are incredibly rare. The vast majority are in museums and … we haven’t had a Mondrian of this quality at auction since 2015,” he said.

“We came to pay our respects to the best, greatest, most, amazing musician ever. You know, we’ve been fans forever. We’re family. We’ve made family from all over the world through this man … It was important for us to be here,” said Barbara Rodgers, who traveled to Minnesota from Florida with her husband Ali and her friend Sara.

The authorities have preserved the hiding place in a museum. They have a permanent ongoing exhibition, all through the year, showcasing their life during the hide out.
Anne Frank House Amsterdam, which efficiently turned into a museum also exhibits the diary of Anne which is kept safe with the authorities. In 2013 and 2014, It was recorded that the museum had attracted 1.2 million visitors. Hence, the museum turned out to be the 3rd most  visited museum in Amsterdam, after the renowned Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum Museum.
